Some activities I encourage parents to do with their child:
-Read, Read, Read
-Create simple word problems
-Visit public library or purchase children's books that focus on math themes
-Use manipulative's that may be in the home (pennies, marshmallows, buttons, etc.)
-Activities such as:
"Taking Turns" for Adition and time sense
-"How much longer" for Addition and time
-"Number of the Day" for addition, computation and calendar
-"When should we leave" for time
